Recreational classes are available for both boys and girls. Start in the beginner class and work your way through intermediate to advanced, learning and mastering new skills along the way. Benefits of recreational gymnastics include greater flexibility, strength, balance and self confidence.
Once your gymnast has progressed through the recreational classes and has that urge to start competing, we offer team gymnastics with multiple levels to suit a gymnasts skills. Our recreational classes are 55 minutes each week. We bill on a monthly basis due on the first of each month. On the second of each month a late fee will be added to unpaid tuitions. If you need to drop a class please do so before the first of the month so you will not be charged for that months tuition. See our registration page for more information.
Want to know how your gymnast is doing in class? We let each class out 5 minutes early to provide time for coaches and parents to communicate. This is a good time to learn how they are progressing and get ideas on ways for them to practice outside of the gym.
This class is designed for boys who want to participate in the sport of gymnastics. Gymnasts will learn basic fundamentals, terminology, and movements on each piece of boys’ equipment with an emphasis on floor skills. Gymnasts will learn rolls, cartwheels, round offs, handstands, walkovers, bridges, technique, etc. If your child chooses to join the competitive side of gymnastics, he will move to Pre-team and begin to connect many of the skills. You must notify a coach if your interest lies within the boy’s competitive program.
In addition to focus on more complex skills the boys also begin to work on developing strength and stringing multiple skills together. More time is spent on equipment as basic floor skills should have been learned or mastered at this point. Boys interested in competitive team will be preparing to move up to pre-team in this class.
